Diagnostic Test Kit for Quantitative estimation of Creatinine in Human Serum/Plasma
CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Creatinine is removed from plasma by glomerular filtration and is then excreated in urine without being reabsorbed by the tubules to any significant extent. This results in a relatively high clearance rate of Creatinine.
Serum Creatinine levels in renal disease generally do not increases until renal function is substantially impaired.
Any increase in Creatinine values above 2-4mg/dl is suggestive of moderate to severe kidney damage.
